The Claverack Republican Team will sponsor a community steak bake Saturday, October 14 at the Claverack Town Park, off Church Street, Mellenville.
The menu will consist of rib eye steak, baked potato, beans, cole slaw and a drink. There will also be music for dancing with a local deejay. The doors will open at 2 p.m. with the steaks served at approximately 3 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door and are available from the Claverack Republican candidates – Kippy Weigelt (Supervisor), Stephen Hook and Brian Keeler (Town Councilmen), Mary Jeanne Hoose (Town Clerk) and Louie Lamont (Highway Superintendent). They are also available from members of the Claverack Republican Club or online. Interested persons are encouraged to get their tickets before October 1 to assist the cooks in ordering an appropriate number of steaks.
