Claverack Republicans hold annual roadside clean-up
May 14, 2016 -- Volunteers from the Claverack Republican Club took to area roads Saturday morning to perform their annual roadside clean-up. Several years ago the club "adopted" three 1-mile stretches of state highway in the town of Claverack and has since held roadside clean-ups each spring.
Town Supervisor Kippy Weigelt, and Councilmen Stephen Hook and Brian Keeler were on hand to greet volunteers and help distribute safety vests and other supplies. A total of 16 bags of litter were collected from the roadside.
