Happy New Year!

​Thanks to the strong leadership of our Town Supervisor Kippy Weigelt, and the smart budgeting and conservative fiscal policies of Town Councilmen Stephen Hook, Brian Keeler, and Bill Gerlach, Town Clerk Mary Jeanne Hoose, Town Highway Supervisor Louie Lamont, and other town officials, the Town of Claverack is in a good fiscal position going into 2016.

Doing more with less is always difficult - but it's a demand of the times. Taxpayers are fed up and tapped out. As other municipalities continue to kick the fiscal can down the road, Claverack is taking real steps forward. By cutting spending, consolidating services, and budgeting in a way that reduces our dependency on cash reserves, Claverack is now the envy of many towns.
